Are You Mining Pi Network?

Who’s mining Pi Network here? I have joined Pi in 2019 I am one of the pioneers, I can’t remember from whom I got the link for registration. There were a lot of airdrops and bounty I joined as well as faucets, mining apps, and sites. Telegram and discord airdrops and raindrops.

Airdrops

The first free money I got was from the vitae community on discord. What you need to do to be eligible for the raindrops of vitae token is just to be active on their discord server. I collected some vitae tokens for being a gossiper(lol) on the server and I never realized that it was worth 13K in Philippine pesos, about $250 at that time in 2018.

Faucets and mining sites are everywhere during that time. Dogecoin can be collected free from different faucets and telegram tip bots as well ass DASH and LTC. I collected a lot of dogecoin where the wallets are not accessible anymore including the coin pot which was already shutdown in 2021. And guess what, when dogecoin exploded in early 2021, I regret that I was not being so serious with crypto. I could have saved all my dogecoin and other tokens that I have collected but none of them was being salvaged.

Back to Pi network, what is good for this mining app is you don’t need to keep the app open while mining. You just need to tap the mine button once, then close it so it will not drain your battery. Mining will stop after 24 hours, you just have to tap once every single day. One tap will not waste a 30seconds of your time anyway.

After I have registered to pi in 2019 I just ran the app for a few months then I eventually forgot to open it. Until in 2021 numbers of posts regarding pi were all over the internet that caught my attention. I scanned my old smartphone where I installed the app, luckily I still remember the logins.

Rumors and Memes

Mixed reactions and comments about pi network. In favor and against pi were throwing their own insights, they were fighting in the comments section of the post. While reading their conversations, I feel like eating popcorn lol.

Most of the new users are expecting the prize of 1pi is equal to $100 once listed on a crypto exchange, if you happen to see those posts on Facebook. Well, in 2021 a lot of Filipinos became crypto experts overnight, especially those who are playing axie infinity lol.

The funniest part on Facebook was I saw a lot of posts offering house and lots, luxury cars, bikes, and a lot more products to be paid by pi. There were shops that pi network is included on their signage.

Legitimacy

However, many people including users have doubts about whether the project is genuine or a scam. Nobody can tell, there are thousands of scammers roaming around the crypto space. In my own opinion, Pi seems to be a legit project. They haven’t launched an ICO yet and as far as I know, If I am not wrong, they don’t need one in the future. The developers have revealed their faces and names both are Stanford Ph.D., they seem legit as well.

This is a free app, it only costs you 30-60 seconds of your time daily. No money is involved in an investment. But on the other hand, I can see a networking scheme as well since you have to invite more to mine more pi tokens. Pi Network Twitter account is verified with 1.4 million followers.

Just recently the app allows users to submit KYC. I got my KYC approved already last week. It is too good to be true, well it’s a free app why not just try and wait for the mainnet launch and pricing, who knows.
