Cumpliendo con las tradiciones culturales del pueblo carupanero, el día 3 de mayo del presente ano se celebro en las inmediaciones del sector el mangle las velaciones de la Cruz de Mayo, es una manifestación cultural que se celebra en todo el pais, tiene un origen en la religión católica debido al hallazgo de la verdadera cruz de Jesucristo celebrándose así a nivel mundial, en Venezuela se celebra también con el inicio de las lluvias y con ello la época de las cosechas, al lugar donde se le rinde homenaje a la santa cruz se presentan artistas locales los cuales celebran con su música, cantos , poesía y baile, además de estar decorado con una gran cantidad de flores lo cual llena el lugar de hermosos colores y un aroma agradable.
