These dogs live a block away from where I live. They are always on a well protected porch, so I think they can't escape, except when the owner takes them out for a walk. They are a cross of pitbull and probably a grizzly bear, they are huge and incredibly ill tempered. I do know their names are Hercules and Apollo, I don't know which is which but I take it their owner is into mythology.

As for my relationship with them, the lighter one loathes me, the dark one hates me, so of course I always taunt them from the safety of the street. I guess it must look ridiculous, a 61 year old guy taunting two murderous beasts. But I am old enough to not care about what other people think. Now I do believe that these two would certainly like to find me on the street without anyone else around just them and me.

I would surely lose, I mean it, these dogs have to weigh at least 70 pounds each, and it is 70 pounds of pure hate. I have a belt with a very heavy buckle but I don't think that would make much difference. If I was still a drunk, that would be different, there was no dog that could scare me when I was drunk. And no, they won't be corrupted by giving them any food I might be carrying, they look very well fed.

Lol! I love dogs and always have at least two of them living in my home. Seriously, though, the Pitbull breed continues to suffer a bad rap. Fact is, their protectiveness was intentionally bred into to them by us humans. During my stint as
a dog trainer, I found Pits to be both loyal and hugely affectionate. Anyway, enjoyed your post immensely. In Lak'ech, JaiChai P.S. It appears that we share the same penchant for sardonic humor. And BTW, I turn 60 years young at the end of this month. Hoo-Yah! Didn't you hear? "Sixty is the new Thirty!"
