Beautiful Damselfly with Its Prey

In fact, I could not be able to turn away from this beautiful insect. Indeed, I already took this kind of damselfly for quite some time but when I saw it was with its prey, it would be something that urged me to take a few pictures. At first, I did not really notice on what it had in its mouth, but when I looked at the result, I found out that it was having lunch with a mouthful prey. Seeing that, I decided to take its pictures with a DSLR as good as possible.

I found it just this late afternoon on the twig, and I thought that would be easy for me to catch while being with something in its mouth. This damselfly was probably out of its range during the twentieth century but has brought benefits within its kind over the last few decades from conservation management aimed at increasing open fen vegetation.

This typical damselfly usually stop in one place while patrolling the prey and after that it would return to the same spot. it was not quite active in the daylight. After spending some time, I was finally able to capture some pictures of this fascinating species of winged insect.
