When I make portraits with pencil I feel submerged in the art it is an art I had inclinations for right from childhood but had been unable to harness it until sometimes last two years when I decided to create time to be able to draw.
It is pleasurable act to draw especially when it's a hobby. I can sit at a place for hours trying to get the face out of the sketches. Drawing requires patience and dedication. It requires one to be meticulous and painstaking.
I make use of a variety of pencils from graphite to charcoal pencils. My most cherished pencil is the 4b graphite and 14b charcoal pencil. Some other materials include kneadable eraser, blending stump, tissue paper, cotton bud and of course a paper. White paper most probably needle point or fineline. Strathmore will also be a good paper choice.
This happens to be one of my best drawings. It was neat. I guess I was in a good mood. Lol
I had also tried making use of grinded charcoal or graphite to draw. It makes it easier and faster. But one requires great attentiveness to succeed.
Wow this is awesome
