If you're talking about this blog post, it's about raising funds to set up accounts for people. All of it goes to this purpose and most of it is burned.
As far as the ease of setting up accounts is concerned, you may be right, but in my opinion - it is a prerequisite for the development of Blurt.

In my opinion, the ideal would be to create an easier way for future users to create their own accounts, but in an orderly way.
But, it's just my opinion that maybe I'm wrong 🤔
You may be right. I've introduced a couple of mechanisms to make this more difficult, e.g., reCaptcha, IP verification (aren't you using Proxy, TOR, VPN, etc.).
In addition, as you want to spam, for example, you need to raise funds (buy Blurt).
I hope some compromise can be created.

How are going people to access blurt from countries which block it (non VPN / TOR) ??
I really didn't know that some countries block platforms like Blurt. Developers should be consulted to see if they are working on any of this.
