Bismillahir Rahmani Rahim.
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

dear mate friend,I hope you all are well, I am also well and healthy by the grace of God.

Parental responsibilities and duties, as outlined in the Quran and Hadith, encompass a comprehensive guide for nurturing children. Islam places great emphasis on the role of parents in shaping the moral, spiritual, and physical well-being of their offspring.

In the Quran, parents are repeatedly reminded to be grateful for the gift of children and to fulfill their responsibilities with righteousness. Surah Al-Furqan (25:74) emphasizes the supplication for righteous offspring: "And those who say, 'Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous." This verse underscores the importance of raising children who are a source of joy and righteousness.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also emphasized the significance of parental duties. One of the famous Hadiths states: "Each of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects..." (Sahih Bukhari). This Hadith implies that parents, as shepherds, are responsible for guiding and protecting their children, fostering a sense of responsibility, and instilling moral values.

Educational responsibilities hold a central place in Islamic teachings. The Quran emphasizes the transmission of knowledge and wisdom from parents to children. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:269) states, "He grants wisdom to whom He pleases, and whoever is granted wisdom, he indeed is given a great good and none but men of understanding mind." This wisdom includes not only secular knowledge but also moral and spiritual guidance.

Moreover, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stressed the importance of education, stating, "Seeking knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim." This obligation extends to parents imparting religious knowledge to their children, ensuring they grow up with a deep understanding of their faith.

The Quran also directs parents to maintain justice and fairness among their children. Surah An-Nisa (4:11) states, "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." This verse emphasizes the importance of equitable treatment, ensuring that all children receive fair shares of love, attention, and resources.

In addition, Islam places a significant emphasis on moral and ethical upbringing. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is described as a "Mercy to the worlds" (Quran 21:107), and parents are encouraged to emulate this mercy in their interactions with their children. Hadiths highlight the Prophet's kind and compassionate treatment of children, emphasizing the importance of fostering a loving and supportive environment.

Discipline is another aspect of parenting discussed in Islamic teachings. While disciplining children is allowed, it should be done with wisdom and moderation. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "No father has given his child anything better than good manners." This Hadith underscores the significance of instilling positive behavior and manners in children through gentle guidance.

The Quran also emphasizes the concept of leading by example. Parents are encouraged to embody the values they wish to instill in their children. Surah Al-Imran (3:110) states, "You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah." By embodying righteousness, parents become living examples for their children to follow.

Financial responsibilities are highlighted in Islam as well. The Quran mentions the obligation of providing for one's family, including children. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:267) encourages giving in charity, stating, "O you who have believed, spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth..." This extends to providing a stable and nurturing environment for children, meeting their physical needs with love and care.

The responsibilities and duties of parents towards their children, as guided by the Quran and Hadith, encompass a holistic approach to upbringing. From education and discipline to financial support and leading by example, Islamic teachings emphasize the multifaceted role parents play in nurturing righteous and responsible individuals. Adhering to these principles fosters an environment where children can flourish spiritually, morally, and socially, contributing positively to society.
