Fountain in the garden
Fuente en el jardín
In a not very frequented corner of my city is one of the magical places where you can lose yourself for a few moments among shadows, noise of water, diverse plants and a tranquility that is palpable in the environment. This is the garden of the Ulloa family, a place to meditate, where to rest for a while in the shade, where you can be at the foot of a great palace in the historic center of the medieval city of Cáceres, in Spain. Access is difficult and not easy to find as you have to go through a tunnel in a square in the old walled city. I usually go to this place a lot since for me it is one of the most beautiful places in my city.
It is here that this wonderful piece of living architecture is located. The fountain in this garden is very special when you see it. Its shape is a heart and it is adorned with a very specific center of a stone book to be written. Like other gardens in this country, it has its literature, its charm, its history of loves and heartbreaks, and it is widely used today to make reports of boyfriends, weddings and other special events that carry the essence of this wonderful garden.
I am not going to tell you about the history of Cristina de Ulloa but I really do suggest that you look for the much information that there is about her. My intention in this photographic report is not to bring you that part of the story but to show you this corner and above all to focus on the wonderful source of it. Apparently it is not very spectacular but its sound, the beating of the water on the stone, its careful care and cleanliness makes it one of the most attractive for me and especially for my camera.
