As I mentioned in the previous post, today I will share photos of the female turkeys.
Como les comenté en la publicación anterior, hoy les compartiré fotos de los pavos hembras.
Once in a zoo they told us that they are monogamous while the males are polygamous. The interest of a female towards a male depends on the tail feathers of the male, since they pay attention to that, which is why the males when they court them open their feathers and do a dance to the females to make them fall in love with them. Imagine that men had to do that to make us fall in love hahaha ahh they also have to make some songs to get the female's attention.
Una vez en un zoológico nos dijeron que ellas son monógamas mientras que los machos son polígamos. El interés de una hembra hacia un macho depende de las plumas de la cola del macho, ya que ellas se fijan en eso, por eso los machos cuando las cortejan abren sus plumas y les hacen un bailes a las hembras para enamorarlas. Imagínense que los hombres tuviesen que hacer eso para enamorarnos jajaja ahh también tienes que hacer unos cantos para llamar la atención de la hembra.
Unlike the males, the tail feathers are short and their body is plump. They are not as colorful as the male, however they are pretty, I like the little feathers that both have on their heads, it looks like a little crown.
A diferencia de los machos, las plumas de la cola son cortas y su cuerpo regordeto, No son tan coloridas como el macho, sin embargo son bonitas, me gustan las plumitas que tienen en la cabeza ambos, parece una coronita.
On this ranch, the females seemed more accustomed to people than the males, in order to photograph the males I was almost running after them to take good shots, while with the females it was easy, they were not scared, they continued normal as if nothing.
En esta hacienda, las hembras se veían más acostumbradas a las personas que los machos, para poder fotografiar a los machos estuve casi que corriendo de tras de ellos para hacer buenas tomas, mientras que con las hembras fue fácil, ellas no se asustaban, seguían normal como si nada.

Nice Shots, from close it really look like a peacock, just without feathers to spread. Lol.
Oh yeah, in my previous post I shared photos of a male peacock but I didn't manage to capture it with dud feathers open.
