On the weekend we went for a walk to Hacienda la Floresta, I have always liked to go there because it has beautiful gardens, which makes the place very relaxing. I used to go a lot when my husband and I were dating.

El fin de semana fuimos de paseo a la Hacienda la Floresta, allí siempre me ha gustado ir porque tiene unos jardines preciosos, lo que hace que el lugar sea muy relajante. Solía ir mucho cuando mi esposo y yo éramos novios.

Before there were only plants and squirrels, but this time we found turkeys and ducks loose all over the place, which caught my and my daughters' attention more.

Antes solo habían plantas y ardillas, pero en esta oportunidad encontramos pavos y patos sueltos por todo el lugar, lo que llamó más mi atención y la de mis hijas.

Today I will share pictures of a Peacock. This is a bird that I have always liked for its beautiful feathers, and its blue color.

Hoy compartiré fotografías de un pavo Real. Este es un ave que siempre me ha gustado por sus hermosas plumas, y su color azul.

These turkeys are loose all over the place, there are many of them, but no matter how hard I tried to photograph one of them with its plumage open, I couldn't do it. Maybe they haven't gotten used to people, they ran to hide. or maybe isn't a season to do it.

Estos pavos están sueltos por toda la haciendo hay muchos, pero por más que intenté fotografiar uno de ellos con su plumaje abierto, no pude lograrlo. Tal vez no se han acostumbrado a la gente, ellos corrían para esconderse. o tal vez no tienen una temporada ara hacerlo.

These turkeys are the males, generally in the animal kingdom, the males tend to be prettier and more striking because they must dazzle the females with their beauty so that they agree to mate.

Estos pavos son los machos, por lo general en el reino animal, los machos tienden a ser más bonitos y llamativos porque deben deslumbrar con su belleza a las hembras para que ellas accedan al apareamiento.

In this species you can see the big difference between a female and a male, in my next publication, I will share photographs of a female. They are very simple in color and smaller in size.

En esta especie se nota la gran diferencia entre una hembra y un macho, en mi próxima publicación, les compartiré fotografías de una hembra. Ellas son de color muy simple y de menor tamaño.

and although I was not able to photograph the turkey with its feathers extended, I really enjoyed being able to see them so closely. I hope that the next time I visit the place, I will be able to see one with its plumage open.

y aunque no logré fotografiar al pavo con sus lumas extendidas, disfruté mucho poder contemplarlos tan de cerca, espero que la próxima vez que visite el lugar, logre ver uno con el plumaje abierto.
