Aprendiz de zapatero
Querido amigo invisible
Cuando pensamos que todo está acabado viene la creatividad y permite que resurja alguna idea que reviva cualquier objeto, en este caso unos zapatos.
Estos zapatos por el uso se les desgastaron las suelas, viviendo en un país donde un par de zapatos de calidad cuesta más de 80 dólares, no queda mucho que hacer, sino dejar salir la creatividad y buscar como reparar los pocos zapatos que se tengan, es así como mi padre, comenzó su experiencia con la reparación de zapatos con cauchos viejos de bicicletas.
Recorta con cuidado el caucho y lo mide con la parte inferior del zapato, luego que tiene la medida correcta, comienza a coser a mano, con la ayuda de una aguja que el mismo diseñó, y lentamente va haciendo su tejido en cada trazo.
Entre los materiales que usa, no hay encontramos herramientas hechas por él mismo, como un punzón con cacha de madera que el mismo creó, un cortador, el mismo le creo su hojilla, se apoya con una vieja navaja que usa desde hace muchos años y el hijo lo saca de los cauchos de la bicicleta, todos los materiales son de reciclaje. Lo demás, como el mismo lo expresa, es paciencia.
De mis padres siempre he aprendido que si no tenemos para comprar algún artículo nuevo, siempre se puede reparar que solo se requiere de ingenio. Nunca hemos tenido muchas cosas, pero si aprendimos a cuidar lo que teníamos. También aprendimos a valorar lo que con esfuerzo mis padres nos podían compartir, entre los hermanos todo se compartía de forma equitativa, y aprendimos todos de lo que papá nos enseñaba, a trabajar la tierra, amar la naturaleza, a reparar cosas, a trabajar con la electricidad, entre muchas cosas más. Aun a sus 76 años, yo sigo aprendiendo de mi padre y hoy quise compartir esta publicación, porque mientras acompañaba a mi padre a reparar estos zapatos, él me decía "hija, cuando creas que algo está roto y no tiene solución, solo se trata de perspectiva, porque siempre se le puede buscar la vuelta para reparar lo que se ha dañado".
Ahora, no solo repara sus propios zapatos, sino también los de los nietos y los hijos, donde también mi incluyo, por ello todos ayudamos a recortar los cauchos y cuando vemos que algunas personas desechan material que podemos reciclar, lo tomamos y le damos utilidad.
Le doy gracias a la vida por tener la oportunidad de disfrutar de mis padres y continuar aprendiendo. Cuando se desea hacer algo solo se hace sin excusas. Mi padre no sabía nada de zapatería, pero aprendió viendo videos y practicando, lo que nos enseña, que no hay límites cuando desea aprender algo nuevo.
Este fue el resultado final de la reparación de los zapatos de papá, y el tiempo de duración fue de una semana de trabajo, mi papá expresa que tiene zapato por mucho tiempo, pero yo espero poder comprarles otros zapatos cuando sea posible.

When we think that everything is finished, creativity comes and allows an idea to revive any object, in this case shoes.
These shoes have worn out their soles due to use, living in a country where a pair of quality shoes costs more than 80 dollars, there is not much left to do, but let your creativity come out and look for how to repair the few shoes you have, This is how my father began his experience repairing shoes with old bicycle tires.
He carefully cuts out the rubber and measures it against the bottom of the shoe. Once he has the correct measurement, he begins to sew by hand, with the help of a needle that he designed himself, and slowly knits each stroke.
Among the materials he uses, there are no tools made by himself, such as a punch with a wooden handle that he created himself, a cutter, he himself created his blade, he supports himself with an old knife that he has used for many years and the son gets it from the tires of the bicycle, all the materials are recycled. The rest, as he himself expresses it, is patience.
I have always learned from my parents that if we don't have enough to buy a new item, it can always be repaired, which only requires ingenuity. We have never had many things, but we did learn to take care of what we had. We also learned to value what my parents could share with us with effort, between the brothers everything was shared equally, and we all learned from what dad taught us, to work the land, love nature, to repair things, to work with electricity, among many other things. Even at 76 years old, I am still learning from my father and today I wanted to share this publication, because while I was accompanying my father to repair these shoes, he told me "daughter, when you think something is broken and there is no solution, it's just a matter of perspective, because you can always find a way around it to repair what has been damaged".
Now, he not only repairs his own shoes, but also those of his grandchildren and children, including myself, for this reason we all help to cut the tires and when we see that some people discard material that we can recycle, we take it and give it a use .
I thank life for having the opportunity to enjoy my parents and continue learning. When you want to do something alone, you do it without excuses. My father did not know anything about shoemaking, but he learned by watching videos and practicing, which teaches us, that there are no limits when he wants to learn something new.
This was the final result of the repair of dad's shoes, and the duration was a week of work, my dad says that he has a shoe for a long time, but I hope to be able to buy other shoes when possible.

In our town, there were a lot of show repair shops which is way cheaper then buying a new pair of shoes. Not only for the old shoes but some who bought new shoes would like to let it being sewed to make it more durable.
