Bad news surely do make the headlines because somehow, people are more interested in such. Everywhere you turn and look is filled with scandals, oppression, crime and hatred.
With the kind of exposure those acts have, more people are drawn into them than learning lessons to abstain themselves.
We don't have much choice either, the media has to make money, and they won't sell chicken stew. It's us that need to pick out what's useful and drop what's not.

Yeah... The fact that the media do not have any other choice than to go for what gives them big market share in the midst of their competition is one of the thing that is fuelling the rapid growth of bad news.
We can always try to look the other way ant focus on news that gives us good vibe
