[Esp+Eng] Blurt Boy : MYDAILYPOST

Blurt es una excelente plataforma para aprender de arte y conocer nuevos artistas y sus procesos artísticos. Además Blurt también retroalimenta a los artistas, sirviendo de inspiración para crear nuevas obras y diseños. Recientemente observé como la usuaria @equipodelta se inspiró en la plataforma para crear un personaje: Blurt! girl. Inmediatamente otros artistas también crearon sus blurt girls basadas en este concepto. Aquí puedes ver a Blurt! girl.

Blurt is an excellent platform to learn about art and meet new artists and their artistic processes. In addition Blurt also gives feedback to artists, serving as inspiration to create new works and designs. En esos días quise también hacer mi versión de Blurt! girl, pero luego pensé: ¿y que tal si dibujo a Blurt Boy? No como una competencia o pareja ni nada parecido, sino como otro desarrollo del concepto. Fue entonces cuando me puse manos a la obra y ya había adelantado algo por aquí. Ahora, ya terminada la obra, vamos con el proceso:

In those days I also wanted to do my version of Blurt! girl, but then I thought: what if I draw Blurt Boy? Not as a competition or partner or anything like that, but as another development of the concept. Iniciamos dibujando el borrador de Blurt Boy con lápiz sobre papel y luego repasando las líneas con rotulador.

We started by drawing the draft of Blurt Boy with pencil on paper and then going over the lines with a marker.

Luego escaneo la imagen desde mi teléfono con la aplicación Any Scanner. Una vez digitalizada, la envío por email a mi PC.

I then scan the image from my phone with the Any Scanner app. Once digitized, I send it by email to my PC.

Con el software Adobe Illustrator vectorizo la imagen y comienzo a aplicar colores planos, luego en otras capas agrego detalles, para finalmente añadir luces y sombras.

With the software Adobe Illustrator I vectorize the image and start applying flat colors, then on other layers I add details, to finally add lights and shadows.

Y ahora, para darle un toque cool, colocamos un fondo bastante urbano y... Listo!! tenemos una imagen cool de Blurt Boy.

And now, to give it a cool touch, we put a quite urban background and... Done! we have a cool picture of Blurt Boy.
