My First 2023 RoadTrip

Happy New Year, Blurtians!

Sharing you my 1st dailypost here in Blurt, my Ist roadtrip travel last January 3, 2023. The birthday of hubby's younger half brother was Jan 03, he died 12 yrs ago. Since we came back here in Cebu in 2016, we have not visited his resting place so we visited him that day. Since we are not familiar or where his resting place, we fetched his older brother in their home town, to guide us. Aloguinsan, is the next town from our city vying the short cut route.

After fetching him, we passed by next town Pinamungajan.

Then, we passed by Toledo City.

We passed by the short cut way where landslide always happens, but this time the road was passable. And, we were amazed because the place is called Manipis meaning narrow road but now the road is wide and have a view deck overlooking the high mountains all around. But, before in the years 1970's, 1980's, 1990's this road was very dangerous to travel. Many public buses fell down the deep ravine. But, now, it is not Manipis anymore but still have landslides.

We arrived at our destination after lunch, The Manila Memorial Park in Liloan, Cebu. We have a hard time finding the resting place even the cemetery caretaker, then after 30 minutes of searching we found it.

The place is so peaceful, huge area and well maintained. After praying for him we went home. Grateful our travel was smooth, no traffic and fast. Our first travel of the year is success.
