Like Us
I was involved in sign language community for 18 years already. That was a long time ago, and I admit, my perception towards deaf people has changed a lot. Prior to learning sign language, I used to think of deaf people as innocent, and lacking of capabilities. They're not. They're just like us, and can live normally. They have the culture that might be different from us, hearing people, but they can do what we can do.
Recently, I heard about some deaf people committing crimes. Two of our former students was jailed due to theft. I even knew some from their community got involved with worse crimes but getting away with it. It's a sad thing as I knew many deaf people who are good and kind. Still, just how it happens in the hearing world, it also happens to them.
Sunny
It's very sunny here, and it was 44°C yesterday. Still unsure what would be the temperature today. I hope it won't be that bad. This extremely hot weather is difficult to deal with, and it will persist for weeks. Sharing photos on a hot sunny day.
