Trees in the Park

It's been sunny these days, but better than rough rainy days that we had last July until September. Floods happen very quickly. An entire day of rain can submerge certain areas. It might be the lack of support for flood control, at least to mitigate the problem. While one of the reasons is a lot of trees has been cut down. Trees are known to absorb the water, which can help to prevent or minimize floods.

In our park, as seen in the photos below, trees are already getting old. I can see young trees, but not that much. I hope they won't be vulnerable when a typhoon comes. A number of trees were already uprooted due to strong winds in recent years.

The last time I walked in the park, I can notice the bricks being unmounted at the pavement by the roots of the trees. It can be a danger for people who might not see it when walking at night especially, the park has gone dark as the lights might have already expired, and in need of replacement.
