Dental Checkup - Mission Failed

Today, I went to the clinic for a dental checkup.

While we’re going to the office this morning at around 9 am I let our driver drop me at the clinic along the way. Since the dentist was not around in the morning the nurse advises me to go back in the afternoon at 2pm.

That was a perfect timing since I have few new purchase requisitions (PR) on my dashboard for the past week that we were on Eid holidays. I thought my dashboard will be clean until today, our first day of duty since last Thursday.

Anyways, I did all the new PRs before 2pm so I have time to relax since all of the bosses are not in the office yet, they’re still on vacation. I have conserved energy before going to the dentist because of the hot temperature outside.

At 1:55 pm I started walking from the office to the clinic. Luckily the temperature was not so hot, it was just 38 degrees and cloudy so the temperature and humidity is bearable and walkable lol. I thought the distance of the clinic from our office was just near as 3 minutes walk. I was wrong at my arithmetic computation. It was a sweaty 12 minutes walking at a normal speed buddy haha.

Upon arriving at the clinic, I was just standing at the entrance in front of the floor air conditioner like there’s nothing happened haha. What they did not know, my shirt was so wet of a summer sweat lol. Fortunately, I wore a jersey t-shirt so it dries quickly with the air blown by the AC.

I was number 7 in the line and there was only one dentist on duty. I waited for 3 hours and I got only cleaning instead of a denture for my removed tooth. Our insurance only covers dental cleaning and tooth removal.

I would have bribed the dentist to just do the denture operation and record it as cleaning or removal haha just kidding. If I went through the denture and pay from my pocket, I would have paid $130 for a single tooth removable denture. I don’t know how much is the normal rate, but it seems expensive for me.
