That soundtrack

Greetings people!

So, it dawned on me during this week's edition how poor I've been with movie soundtracks. Like, I couldn't think of a reason to Soundtrack.
Before this stage of my life, I only watched movies filled with actions, like if there was no battle scene, just forgerrit. When it comes to Nollywood, then it must be comic...I don't fancy teary or serious movies.

But the stage at which I began to find interest in the deep view of movies, watching every single scene without forwarding were the days loved watching K-dramas. How do I know those soundtracks if I'm to write about them?🙄

Enough of all these,
I still have a particular soundtrack I would like to talk about.
Let's put it in story form.

I was in secondary school (I can't figure out the particular class) and I had a close friend, Henry.
Henry was a very playful guy but intelligent, and he loves movies as well because they always watch movies in their house every evening due to how rich the mom was, hence, putting on the generator every day night.

One particular week, he got addicted to the chorus of a song that he always sang at regular intervals. Like, whenever he's not busy talking to someone else, he's singing, "You're the treasure that I seek..." (That's the only part he knows and speaks in tongue to complete the other parts 🤣).

To be sincere, the continuous "You're the treasure that I seek" from his mouth got me irritated countless times, but I couldn't stop him from singing because we have the freedom to sing.

I had concluded that the song was a normal song he recently got enchanted by, until 95% of our classmates began to sing the same line: "You are the treasure that I seek."
We would be in class in the middle of a lecture and a tiny sound from one girl would pop up with this line of song, and before we knew it, a deep voice had been added and the whole class would join. The teacher would just be looking and smiling.

During that period, I got to know that the song that everyone was singing was from a trending movie, A Million Tears.

On a sincere note, I almost joined them in singing because it was more like a school anthem, but you know what? I slapped myself to have a reset.🥳
How can I fall for such a song?
You know how the ears and heart get moved by the things they're surrounded with? That was my situation.

By then, it was only me (literally) that had yet to see the movie, so Henry gave it a good review, especially the part that has uncontrollable tears in it. The tears was one of the things that made me not watch the movie till today.

But nevertheless, the movie and the soundtrack were worth the talks and hypes because they got almost everyone singing.
That was actually my first time witnessing the magic of a movie soundtrack.

Thanks for reading
