Being Mindful in Daily Life

In a day we are occupied with countless things to do and countless thoughts that run our mind which all happens just by itself. We do not realize when our emotions trigger on the experiences with our surrounding environment. And with that it is possible that we may react rationally or we may react irrationally. There are so many times when we instantly react on our situations and then later realize it, that reaction was not necessary. Hence using mindfulness to handle these hindrances of our day to day life, is very useful.

These are all the hindrances of the mind, where we get into negative states of being, our thoughts become negative, destructive, irrational, victim or sad mode or any such behavior which is not meant for our highest good. By bringing mindfulness into life we will be able to deal with such situations in a better way. How to bring mindfulness? One way that I have developed is, by reminding myself all the time that I need to be mindful about my thoughts and actions. It is practice that builds up over a period of time and just does not happen suddenly. It builds up over days, weeks and months. In the beginning it may not work very well, but the moment you keep realizing it keeps occurring to you more and more.

Mindfulness helps to recognize, and then allows it to release if it's not for the good, and once released it calms you down, then you understand that there is no need for reaction. The negative emotions starts getting replaced with positive emotions. When you realize what is not important to be fed then you can also understand how that can be replaced and making it constructive.

These practices bring in awareness to life and it helps keep us in a balanced state of mind all the time.
