Using YouTube, mainly through the mobile app, is becoming a terrible experience, with the removal of dislikes, ads longer than 15 seconds that cannot be skipped, censorship of users with opinions that differ from those "allowed" by the company, manipulation of search results and stuff like that. Because of this sort of thing, I started using Odysee/LBRY, and later Hive and Blurt. Of course, the advantage of being able to be easily monetized by my horror stories and programming tutorials was something really wonderful, but what initially attracted me to these networks was the possibility of being able to use a platform that was more open to the wishes of its users and that see me just as another source of income
