I was hoping to have my HHO system done by winter.

Although as I buggered off to Asia for 3 months it was not possible.
And as heating is costing way more than ever before, I am turning to the above for now as it runs on 12 volt, so can be powered by a spare car battery, the battery charged by my solar system for free, and it, the heater can be run on diesel, oil and even old engine oil, result, got loads of that.
The unit cost was £100/$120 or 500zl.

I have and still am using coal and LPG - but not after this unit arrives and I fit the first one this week. 8 KW of heat for free via old oils.

Coal has doubled in price over the last 12 months and become an expensive luxury.

So has LPG so heating my old farmhouse that I do not live in, but restore bikes there is getting expensive, or was.

I love doing the bikes in the warm with good lighting you see.

I only have to sell 1 bike a year to live off, it is as easy as that, and as some of you know, I have a barn full of these old classics, plus a large garage full too plus all the bikes in the farm house, though they are mostly fully restored and once done, I tend to forget they exist.

With the cost of living crisis as the banksters and crooks via tax theft call it via their corporate presstitutes named the MSM, many people will be unable to heat their homes now, let alone this next winter, so let us get working on a cheap, viable solution, like the one pictured.

@small1axe might find this of use as might others on here.

I am removing the coal/wood burner in picture 2 above this week to replace it with the 12 volt diesel/oil burner and will add pics and info regards how long a liter lasts, settings, efficiency, noise level etc too as I use it for a few days.
Yes not everyone needs heating, but billions do.

I am putting 1 in each of the 8 rooms if this works well, so stick around to see results, there are loads of videos about these on YT, most are called Vivor (brand name) and are available on ebay etc.
I have no affiliation to said company.

So wish me luck and have a superb week ahead, you superb people.

Just two days ago i welded a exhaust pipe for a diesel stove .
For a friend here who has put it in his caravan .
Works great .

I even think my bus has a diesel heater to keep the drivers feet nice and warm . That and starting the engine are my last back up for when electricity fails and firewood is running low .
Would be very interested to see such diesel heater run smooth on waist oil . As i can get waist oil very cheap to ,. did try some pots and wicks , inside my wood oven , burning on old oil but it didn't gave enough heat for comfort .

Then again i have the lowest fire wood consumption in town for i lay about 5 ltrs of sawdust directly under the fire . Where i also made some changes to the exhaust . See this post for some info on it .

We had nights of -20c up here ,. and now just hovering around zero does feel like spring has started early . But this winter will probably last until first weeks of May . Ran out of LPG to cook on two days ago ,. i cook now on and inside the wood oven .

Crisis hits hard ,. all currency i own sit's on the hive/blurt blockchain .
Not even knowing if i can make it till next week , but every time still i do .
No worry , it's the kind of life i love ,.. live and direct .
Beats sitting in a government given apartment on wealth-fare waiting for some things to do ,. like getting jabbed for a useless made up job .

;-)

Success on the burner install ,. and a good day/evening to .

Will keep you posted, nice work on the stove, feck the gov.

I had one like that a 2kw unit to heat my motorhome it worked very well. The fuel pumps are noisy though and now one can buy very quite pumps if you want to spend the extra or find away to have the pump in alike a sound proof box etc if they are to noisy for you.

They seem to click a lot from vids I have seen so yep, maybe going to have to stick it in a soundproof box or fit the unit on the outside (a lot of work involved there)...

I have a stove for cooking, hot water and heating so am not giving up on that. I bought myself an electric chainsaw instead. Plenty of trees planting themselves and growing where they shouldn't here so I can make me own fuel for a bit.

It is the mess I do not like from burning wood, coal etc, got tonnes of wood but no time to chop it all, and not the inclination neither.
A free spirit like you has places where trees should not grow, you shock me lol 😜

sorry but I do need some space to grow veg and these trees are not fruiters and there's plenty of em.
