I am a person who has never been very fond of kitchen work. You can ask me to do anything else in the house work, I will be more than glad, but cooking is one task which I find it very tedious. There are times when I feel like I should try making some new dish and I start with lot of enthusiasm but mid-way I fizz out. Very few times my enthusiasm stays till the end of the preparation of the dish.
I am good at cleaning work and I can do all of that part cleaning and arranging. As much as I do not like to cook, I like to watch cookery shows. Most of the times on the T.V. I am only watching that. Hubby makes fun of me saying, you watch so much but you do not make anything then what is the use of watching. The thing is that I like feasting with my eyes and hence I love to watch these shows, I like the way they do the presentation, all of those things I even like to do it in real. When the cooking is done, I like to take over on the setting part. I like to give it a good show.
The last time I cooked was almost a month back, where I had some friends come over home and I made a special chicken for them. On a regular basis, I have a cook, who does my daily cooking. I would not mind it doing once in a while, when I have guests, but surely it bores me to hell if it becomes my daily activity.
In our Indian culture, we females are expected to be good in cooking and to do the cooking for the family. In my case I had told my hubby from the very beginning that this will never be my department. In the initial years of marriage, he thought that gradually I will do it, but it never happened and now he has given up on me...hehe. The good part in our marriage is that he is a good cook and he fills up for me. Over the weekends he is the chef and he likes to make fancy foods for me. My friends do get jealous about this, and I always say that I am a lucky one in these matters.
So, what if I am not good at cooking, I am good at other jobs and that goes well with me.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
I much prefer being cooked for than doing the cooking. You have a good thing there!
That's always better ;-)
