Experience of Simple Living

This is about one of my travel experiences during my stay in Mumbai last month. On one of the short visits to the Lonavala town, the place where I stayed was just opposite the Lake side and the view from the balcony was so peaceful and serene. Every time I come to this town, I stay in this place only since I am in love with its location. It's not a hotel, it's a community sanatorium and is rented out only to people from my community. People from other communities cannot come and stay here. The price is very reasonable and so is the place very basic. There is no wifi or tv in the room or the entire facility. Meals can be only had in the dining room. Meals have to be finished by 9.30 p.m. latest after that you will not get anything to eat if you want, then you need to go outside of the premises. Meals also have to be pre-ordered. You cannot inform them last minute and get meals. The menu is fixed but yes, the caretaker does check for what you will like to eat and prepare the food accordingly, but once made you cannot demand for additional dishes or cancel it.

There are many rules to follow if you have to stay here, but I enjoy, it makes me grounded. Living here is all together a different world. The best part of this place is it's location and the views. It is by the lake side and very quiet and blissful environment. While these days everything is so commercial but nothing is commercial about this place and that's what I like the most.

View from my balcony at night. The rooms are big and spacious and 4 people can stay very comfortably in one room. There is one double bed and they will provide extra mattress for additional person. Bathrooms are neat and clean. A very decent place for the price charged.
