Soak it all in

The more I get into writing, reading, curating and all these stuff we do in places like this, the more I realize how similar it is to eating plantain chips.

I know, that's a weird way to describe what goes on here, but I mean it. Plantain chips is one of the snacks I enjoy and I always go for more whenever I start eating it. One is never enough. That same attitude is what applies to my on-chain activity. I may come on board to read a post but from that one, I end up reading more.

It feels so funny to imagine that there was a time I doubted my chances of doing well as a writer. That was back in 2020 when I first got into a site where people write to earn. At first, the idea of writing and earning internet money was too good to be true, but I was in lockdown with nothing to do, so I didn't have anything to lose by giving writing a shot.

I got in, signed up, started commenting and finally summoned the courage to make an introductory post. That was the genesis of my journey as a writer. For the record, I started this journey on a website called Uptrend. It had a Crypto token which was built on Ethereum blockchain.

To be fair, I didn't get reasonable monetary benefit from the 8 months (give or take a few) I spent there. Instead of momentary benefit, I got to be connected with the best set of people from different parts of the world. I developed my writing skill and learned very important leadership and team playing skill. Everything I learned made it easier for me to get started on Hive and I've never regretted being on this path.

Every day, I wake up with high enthusiasm, do one or two stuff at home and come online to do what we all love about being in places like this. My life at the moment is centred on reading, learning, writing, teaching and dreaming about the future.

Whenever I think of my journey so far, I'm always filled with excitement for all I will be achieving in the nearest future. What the future holds truly beats my imagination and I'm soaking it all in.

I'm taking glorious steps towards the future.
