My recent activities for most of this week fared well. I had a lot to do and I've been able to tick most of the things I have in my to-do list for this mid-week. Since my weekend is also bound to be busy in some ways and I've needed to restock my home, I decided to set out on a shopping adventure.
Due to the things I had to restock at the moment which are mostly household items, I decided to go to Omak Supermarket, a shopping mall that's within town. I already know what to expect about the price tag of things. Almost everything you can think of has become incredibly expensive and the reasons for that are not far-fetched.
I'm quite lucky on the transportation fare side of things. I live at the heart of Ibadan which is surrounded by shopping malls, markets, and co. For the most part, I don't spend much on transportation. I just step out of my apartment and walk for a few minutes before getting into a Mall of my choice.
The above picture shows one of the sections I browsed through while shopping. There is a soap I used last month when I traveled to the SouthEastern part of the country and I was hoping to find that in this Mall, but my luck didn't shine. I had to improvise and go for a completely different soap.
I also browsed through the section where perfumes and body sprays are displayed. I like to restock on those before mine completely runs out.
I ended up getting a body spray for #2000. I will likely be restocking my Perfume by next weekend, but I need to do a proper market survey before getting one. I've been planning to change the brand of perfume I use and I believe next week would be a good time to work on that.
The whole shopping experience was an interesting adventure. I don't like to waste time when I go shopping. And I don't usually buy things without planning to get them in advance. So, I went shopping hoping to buy Milk, Bread, Body Spray, Soap, Drinks, Groundnut Oil, Spaghetti, Sachet Tomatoes, and Noodles. I was able to get all that within 10 minutes because I already knew the exact section I needed to go to and find those in the Mall.
The above picture is a picture I took out of curiosity. I wasn't ready to get any of those equipment and I'm not sure I need those in my home right now. I already spent #163,000 to get a deep freezer three weeks ago and that's giving me undeniable satisfaction. Hehe. Blenders and Toasters can wait till the near future.
That's all about my shopping experience. I inflated my budget when going to the mall because I expected the price of things to go up. That decision proved to be a wise one because everything I bought today cost more than I usually paid for them. Everything, except the Bread which I bought #900.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
