You can easily tell that the whole celebration of a New Year is begining to die down and folks are now looking back to the drawing board to be sure they have everything set and ready to dive into the adventure of this year. The early birds are already into the grind of year.
I reckon we all have great expectations this year and we have things we are looking forward to as this year unfolds. In my mind, I'm painting mental picture of the things I'm looking forward to and these are the things that would punctuate this year.
Most of the things I look forward to are a series of things that will directly or indirectly improve my finances, raise my standard of living and subsequently push me to a point in life where I wouldn't have to worry too much about money.
We will get to that in a minute, but before that, lemme tell you of an important News which I'm looking forward to;
This has everything to do with my one and only brother.
My brother is studying Medicine and Surgery in a reputable school in Nigeria. If you know anything about that course of study, you will know that anyone studying it won't be able to get a break until you successfully pass through all stages of learning on your path of becoming a certified, inducted and licensed to work as a medical doctor.
In life, we are always going to be tested. I know that already so I'm not sad that he's going through a bunch of difficulties in his attempt to pass through all sorts of test that are lined up for him as a medical student who's preparing to get into pratice as a medical doctor. I like how he's facing the challenges in his path and he's already in the final phase of his study.
I know it's a rough adventure and I also know he's capable of overcoming all the challenges that are lined up on his way. He knows that grinding is a must and he understands that it's not going to be easy to succeed. The fact that he knows all these is already enough for me.
I spoke with my brother last night. It wasn't anything serious... Just the little brotherhood chitchat and I'm glad about the man he's becoming. His mind is pure and he knows what's ahead. Speaking to him gives me the assurance that we will be Celebrating his induction as a medical doctor this year.
This will probably happen towards the ending of the year. To be fair, he still has a lot of mountain to climb and he still has a lot of tough tests to go through. However, I'm not scared of what the outcome will be. Me and my entire family are patiently looking forward to when we will get the News about his successful graduation, induction and stuff.
I'm not even kidding... That will surely be the highlight of this year for me.
