It was a long process to get La Negrita to trust me and obey me, she did whatever she wanted and when I tried to correct her she barked at me, I think she had a difficult life of mistreatment in the street that came with traumas since she was little, simple things like when I was sweeping for example and I asked her permission, she did not pay attention, and when I passed the broom near her, she bit the broom with so much hatred, That happened every time I had to sweep the house, it was always the same episode, folding the newspaper in a cylindrical shape and showing it to her was unleashing anger in her and she would tear the newspaper to pieces, apart from that, when I called her, she did not answer my call, at first I thought she was deaf but I realized that she listened very well, there I understood that my dog was not like other dogs that you call them and they wag their tails as if they were going to get out of it.

As the years went by little by little we were adapting, she was leaving aside her indomitable character and without rules, although it sounds strange the way I found to correct her was talking to her, I spent time giving her speeches about her bad behavior, at one point she came to condemn me, I think I talked so much with her that now she understands me and obeys me immediately, I know it is a little crazy to have a conversation with a dog as if she were a person and give her talks, but this was the way that worked for me.

Five months ago she gave birth to some puppies, only one puppy was saved, and curiously this puppy has the same character as her mother and it has been difficult to tame her too, but Negrita helps me to correct her, in fact, when I scold Vaquita and she barks at me trying to do what she wants, immediately Negrita bites her, she does not allow her daughter to disrespect me and when I tell her: Negra look at Vaquita who is misbehaving, correct her, she immediately goes where her daughter is and barks at her giving her character, sometimes she corrects her with the biting stick, I am still surprised that Negrita understands me that way, the truth is the first time that happens to me with a dog and that I have had several dogs.

La Negrita has become my companion all these years, she is already a dog that already has a similar behavior to the other dogs, she has rules that she learned little by little, she knows how to sit, she waits for me to serve her food and to my voice she eats, I am very happy with her evolution and she is an exceptional caregiver, all the neighbors know that my dog takes good care of the house and protects it.

I think that now Negrita and I understand each other perfectly, my dog is very obedient, calm and behaves very well, I think that my Negrita is mature but there are still traces of her indomitable heart, that's why I always think of those people who mistreat an animal, they leave indelible wounds in their mind that change the life of an animal, street dogs are deprived not only of food and lack of love but they face all kinds of people, sometimes more bad than good, and they have such a difficult life that they only have to awaken their survival instinct.
