Hello Daily Blog friends! I recently had the opportunity to attend a market research workshop at the Habana Golf Club, located in Capdevila. This place is simply beautiful. In the workshop we exchanged specialists from different tourist poles of the country. It was a very rewarding experience, especially considering the economic recession our country is going through. In times like these, it is crucial to explore new markets.
This meeting was held in the Fiesta Room of the facilities, a space that is normally used for evening events, not used in the daytime section, and which has excellent projection equipment that was perfect for our workshop. It is a very nice space and as it has a bar that is used for the preparation of cocktails in the evening, but it was at our disposal where we were offered juices and snacks.
The facility is home to one of two golf courses in the country. Although it only has 9 holes, that is, half the size of a full course, to play a full round you have to go around the course twice. In my country, golf is not a very popular sport, so to see the extent of this course is impressive and beautiful, to me it is huge, even if it is half.
After concluding the workshop, I decided to take a walk around the facilities. Although, as I was saying, golf is not very popular in Cuba, this facility has been providing this service for more than 30 years, mainly to members, usually receiving personnel from the diplomatic corps of England, China and France.
During the morning, the facility is reserved for members, who can exclusively enjoy the course and the rest of the facilities. Among them is the restaurant "La Estancia", as well as a cafeteria next to the course known as "Hoyo 19", as in the great golf courses. This is the place where players go after finishing their game, have some refreshments and talk about the game.
They also have a nice swimming pool where members can take a dip after playing. On this occasion, it was empty due to the early hour, but in the afternoons it is open to the general public. I was at this facility as a client some time ago and it was much more lively.
The facility has very nice outdoor areas. In fact, the whole countryside is beautiful. The green areas look very neat, clean and collected, it is an environment of peace and tranquility near the city but a little away from the hustle and bustle which makes it a perfect place to rest.
At the entrance to the course there is a practice area where an experienced worker explains and helps players with the rules of the game. I have visited this facility on other occasions and they have a very professional and caring staff who look after the well being of visitors.
My visit on this occasion was due to professional preparation, but anyway I wanted to show you a little of what this attractive tourist center of Cuba offers, where there are not many of its kind.
