Are you a fan of the retro cassette era? When my mother used to drive us to school, I remember Air Supply, Carpenters, and Bee Gees songs from the cassette were always on the roll every time we're on the road. We still have some music tape today but we no longer play them in the cassette. I must say that this era have long been replaced by CDs and DVD.
I attended our year end christmas party and was very delighted because our theme was 90s disco. I haven't been to a disco party so this party is my chance. My only problem is i don't have a disco outfit, so the days before our party, i was in a hunt for the perfect retro outfit. I saw party dresses in mannequins at malls but these outfits are new arrivals so the price is at a premium. Finally, the night before the party, i found this simple blouse that i think would fit the theme. Problem solved!
We celebrated at Alien Abduction in Plantation Bay Resort. The aesthetic of our party really screams 90s vibe. Most people dressed up in shiny outfits while some opted for a retro classic. We already ate dinner earlier so by the time we arrived at this place, we are ready to disco and party.
The first few parts of the event were quite formal. Like any other christmas party, there will always be exchanging gifts, raffle, performances and games. For exchanging gifts, i received an item from Happy Skin cosmetics which i'm very happy about. I also felt lucky for winning P3,000 in our raffle draw.
As the night grew darker people became more hyped. The staffs started serving us glass shots for our drinks while the music of Taylor Swift, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and Britney Spears are playing in the audio.
In the dance floor, everyone was having fun drinking, dancing and singing. I tried blending in with them and dance as well.
When i'm not in the dance floor, you will find me at the bench eating chips while talking with my colleagues. I did drink some that night too.
Its past midnight and we have to end the party. It's safe to say, we all had fun that night. This is an overnight event so everyone went back to their rooms and rested.
