A Day of Self Care In The Salon

I hardly remember the last time i had my haircut at a salon. Most of the time, i cut my own hair because 1) im impulsive; 2) it saves time and money; and 3) the hairdresser always cut my hair way too short than what i would've want. Generally, i'm not comfortable with people touching my hair.

Then one time, my friend mentioned that she wants to have a hair rebond. I thought of joining her since it's been a while since i last sit on a salon chair. We agreed to have a volume rebond treatment.

We had our appointment at around 2pm in Hues X Palette salon. We chose this salon because there are a lot of good reviews on instagram and according to the staff, they use gentle formulas that will not damage the hair. Most of their staff also undergone intensive training.

It was a rainy afternoon when we arrived at the salon. The hair director assessed our hair to check if its still strong enough for a rebond. Yes, I find it amusing that there's such a profession as hair professional in the Philippines. After a while we then start the treatment. I took a photo of the before and after to see if there's really a difference. The effect of the treatment is very subtle but it makes my hair healthy looking without being to 'straight'.

I didn't expect the treatment to take so long that we finished at already passed their closing time.

Here's a pic of me after my rebond treatment. I can say I did like the outcome. Now i'm waiting for my friend since i finished early.
