Today I am sharing with you my experience visiting the dentist. It has been more than a year since I had a dental cleaning and general checkup. This time I did not want to wait any longer because I felt discomfort in one of my molars and I decided to go to the dentist.
I tell you that I have my trusted dentist or the one I go to frequently. Last Thursday morning, I went early to the dentist's office very willing and happy. When I arrived the doctor was very busy and had patients waiting. So the secretary very kindly told me that there was an appointment available starting Monday. Wow friends 😂, with the discomfort I had I wanted to get out of the anguish of attending my tooth in time to avoid wasting more time and then it would become a bigger cavity.
For some time I had been experiencing pain and discomfort in the tooth and swollen gums. Every day I told myself that I had to gather and complete the resources to go calmly for a checkup, cleaning and repair if that was the case. After knowing that they could not attend me, I had to think of another viable alternative to fulfill my objective.
So while the solution came to my mind, I went walking to buy in a nearby store where they accept HBD and where I relaxed a little. When I was paying I asked Patricia; who assisted me with kindness, for a nearby dental office. Her answer was immediate: —upstairs of this store there is a very well known dentist—, express, hahaha, so I headed there.
I can tell you friends that it was a pleasant experience to meet this professional. I had just come from a course and he was willing to treat me. I was the only patient there, so they treated me very well and took the time to make me feel satisfied. I took some pictures in this office where the color green was predominant.
Best of all, I happily had my teeth cleaning and general check-up. Overall, the doctor found my teeth in good condition. With a lot of plaque and a little wear on some teeth. He recommended not brushing so hard, emphasizing the brushing of the back molars which are more difficult and where he had to clean more. He also recommended using a good quality and special toothpaste to improve the condition of my gums. For now my molars are fine.
This dentist, Franklin Ramos, spent part of his time explaining the state, aspects and care of my teeth. He also shared the current advances in relation to techniques and their application. What apparently bothered me was a little sensitivity due to poor brushing. Buying a proper and quality toothbrush and toothpaste is necessary.
Friends we should change our toothbrush frequently and protect it. As for toothpaste, he recommended one for sensitivity and to improve the current condition of the gums. I tell you that prevention is crucial and determinant and it must become a habit to take care of the teeth. It means maintaining dental hygiene by brushing every time we eat and before going to bed at night. The use of dental floss and mouthwash.
These recommendations seem repetitive and I have always heard them since I was a child. However, sometimes we forget about our teeth and that is why I am writing this post to call attention, remember and make known in my experience how essential it is in our life to have good habits in the care of our teeth.
Our teeth are the ones that allow us to chew our food. We should not abuse them by using them to chew things other than food. At one time I chewed ice hahaha this is bad for my teeth. Friends I have seen people close to me uncorking bottles with metal caps with their teeth. **Unbelievable right?
Also, as time goes by, our teeth can become more fragile. Remember that they are for life. Care should begin when the first tooth comes in. Now that my grandson's teeth are starting to come in he should be taught and start with brushing and prevention.
