Hello Blurtians! Im back again with another personal blog. You may know me as yopeks who launch a daily game where as you can win a BLURT LIQUID but this time allow me also to share my life and my struggles as an intern. So without further ado let's get started!.
The picture above is the collage of the scope of works of the company that is present in the site. There we have ACP Cladding, Paintworks, Masonry and Metal works.
This is my team. We consist of 11 interns and was assigned to different departments Like in the DESIGN DEPARTMENT, SAFETY DEPARTMENT, OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT and etc.,
In my case I was assigned in OPERATIONS (OPS). At first I was so hesitant to accept my role since that role is very hazardous and also it's a very tiring one. I can say that it is hazardous since the building is not yet done. You are really prone to everything; from falling debris, heavy machinery, structural collapse, hazardous materials and electrical materials , weather conditions and many many more.
That day I had no choice but in my mind, I have to accept it because according to my friends that already graduated, working on field is very good since I can apply my skills from school to a practical one. Indeed! I applied my learned skill to the practical world but I can really say that school os very different from reality. We studied many theory and methodology but in real life I guess only 60% of it will be useful but still if the person won't study that certain theory and methodology for sure that certain thing you are trying to make will not be functional and if it is functional then probably that thing will not be safe to use.
As an intern, I learned a lot skills. Leadership, camaraderie and most important thing is the respect between your work and to your team. A respect from a lower workers up to your supervisor. There is no such good place to work if you don't have a problem with your environment and also with your team. You can work freely and smoothly.
This is my team in OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT (interns). I am very thankful that my admin grouped me with this kind of people. A very sweet and caring people who also encourages everyone to do good things and lift each other when someones is in darkness.
In my 2 weeks as an intern I can say that this is the best experience I had in my life. This is just a start, I do have many weeks to go. I know I was tired already but still I'm keeping my heads up because I know that this is a practice of being professional.
Please pray my journey. Soon, I will graduate probably next year. HOPEFULLY, IN JESUS NAME 🙏
Thanks for tuning in, See you on my next blog!
