On earth there is so much beauty to discover, and the wonders of this planet do not stop under water, but sometimes increase immeasurably. Unfortunately, there is hardly any light in the depths of the seas and oceans, which means that many of the fascinating creatures that have found their domicile down there cannot present themselves in the right spotlight and in all their glory. Without light it is also difficult to perceive colors and shapes and to make a shiny impression.

Fortunately, some of the beauties have managed to attract our attention and charm us. Aquariums around the globe show the life and the quadruplicity of the underwater world and allow us to take a look into the ocean depths without getting wet ourselves.

While standing in front of thick panes of glass, we can enjoy the bizarre yet beguiling beauty of the various species of jellyfish and marvel at what Mother Nature has to offer. They float weightlessly through the various pools and glide majestically past our eyes. However, I am more than glad not to be swimming together with them, as it is advisable to show a certain amount of caution. Those who have already had the opportunity to make contact with their tentacles, know what I am talking about. Here in the Sea of Japan, in the warm season, you can also meet some interesting members of the jellyfish family, and you should be rather cautious when you plunge into the waves. But with a little attention and awareness, you still don't have to miss out on the fun in the water.

For today I leave it with some photos and postpone the next beach visit for a while. The weather is not really inviting at the moment and I actually feel quite pleasant and comfortable where I am. Hopefully it will stay like this for a little longer.

Nicht nur auf der Erde gibt es so viel Schönheit zu entdecken, die Wunder dieses Planeten hören auch unter Wasser nicht auf, sondern steigern sich manchmal noch ins Unermessliche. Leider gibt es in den Tiefen der Meere und Ozeane kaum Licht, sodass sich viele faszinierende Lebewesen, die dort ihr Domiziel gefunden haben, nicht im rechten Licht und Glanze präsentieren können. Ohne Licht fällt es auch schwer Farben und Formen wahrzunehmen und hiermit zu beeindrucken.

Glücklicherweise haben es einige der Schönheiten doch geschafft, unsere Aufmerksamkeit zu erregen und uns zu bezaubern. Aquarien rund um den Globus zeigen das Leben und die Vierfalt der Unterwasserwelt und erlauben es uns, einen Blick in die Tiefe zu werfen, ohne selber nass zu werden.

So können wir zum Beispiel vor dicken Glasscheiben stehend uns an der bizarren aber doch betörenden Schönheit der verschiedenen Quallenarten erfreuen und staunen, was Mutter Natur hier wieder einmal zu bieten hat. Wie schwerelos schweben sie doch die verschieden Becken und gleiten majestätisch an unseren Augen vorbei. Ein wenig froh ist man doch aber doch schon, nicht gemeinsam mit den Quallen im Wasser zu sein, denn ein wenig Zurückhaltung ist in diesem Fall schon angebracht. Wer bereits einmal Erfahrung mit ihren Tentakeln gemacht hat, weiß wovon ich spreche. Auch hier im Japanischen Meer kann man in der warmen Jahreszeit einigen Vertreter der Quallenfamilie antreffen, und man sollte besser etwas vorsichtiger sein, wenn man sich dann in die Fluten stürzt. Aber mit etwas Vorsicht und Umsicht muss man trotzdem nicht auf den Spaß im Wasser verzichten.

Für heute belasse ich es bei einigen Fotos und schiebe den nächsten Strandbesuch noch etwas auf. Das Wetter ist nicht wirklich einladend gerade und ich fühle mich eigentlich recht angenehm und wohlig. Und so darf es gerne noch etwas bleiben.
