Hello Everybody! I'm Steve and use the username @mypathtofire online.
I am interested in crypto of course and play2earn games such as Splinterlands although I have only been playing for around a month. I also like all the regular things that most people like such as music, videos, and traveling.
I am keen to explore the Blurt community. I wanted to register for a while but the process took me a while to figure out!! I am only stacking for around a year or so, so getting used to crypto and Defi is a goal of mine.
I very kindly got a 100 BLURT gift from @drlobes so I could get started on Blurt. I also managed to figure out how to transfer some Blurt to my account so gave it another boost by 117 BLURT.
I am still trying to figure out how everything is working here and paying transaction fees of BLURT to do things. I achieved my first milestone at least of powering up 100 BLURT which I am happy about. I'm not sure what that means when you have BLURT power, but now I have 100.

Slowly you'll discover more tags that will offer your post more exposure, the likes of @r2cornell @visualblock @blurt-network @blurtlife @powerclub @instablurt @techclub @blurtconnect @blurttribe @blurtlive @blurtsocial @blurtcuration and a few more. They exist as accounts and help with votes for good content, in time you will learn to choose which of them to use as tags when posting.
I don't know if you know, but there's a big-ish german community here, I won't name them all but maybe @outofthematrix could introduce you to a few.
Also @drutter (no he is not german :) ) but I'm mentioning him here because I always like to read his articles, always well documented and well thought out.

One more mention I have to make, if you follow @kryptodenno and comment every day on his posts, you stand a big chance of something like this happening to you as well:

Blurt Power is what makes your vote worth something. The more Blurt Power you have, the more your vote will be worth. Since you get a portion of the rewards from posts and comments you voted on, it also means that you will earn more curation rewards if you have more Blurt Power.
There is also a small interest on powered up BLURT, so it will grow a little even if you don’t use it and just let it sit there. But you’ll earn way more if you use it to vote.

When you vote, there is a vote value estimate. You get back about half of that value when the post pays out. If the transaction fee is more than half of the estimated vote value, then it’s not worth it for you until you get enough Blurt power for your rewards to be higher than the fee.
