Busy times at a sunflower

A "volunteer" sunflower that sprouted from seed that dropped from a nearby bird feeder has blossomed nicely and is proving popular with both butterfly and bee.

This pretty little butterfly was more than happy to ignore my intrusion into its' space to take a few photos while enjoying a meal.

Of course these busy little honey bees have the advantage of possessing a stinger and their single-minded pursuit of gathering food for the hive so it was easy to take photos while they worked.
