Hive is tearing itself apart over AI

Chat GPT's insight:

As an AI language model, I don't have personal opinions, but I can provide some insights into this issue.

On one hand, if the goal of the platform is to reward high-quality content that is interesting, informative, or entertaining, then it could be argued that using AI-generated content or relying solely on algorithms for curation and distribution of rewards goes against that objective. AI-generated content may lack the nuance, creativity, and unique perspectives that human-generated content can provide. Furthermore, relying solely on algorithms for curation could create a system that rewards popular content, rather than high-quality content, which could lead to a homogenization of ideas and perspectives on the platform.

On the other hand, if the goal of the platform is to distribute rewards fairly and efficiently, then the use of AI-generated content and algorithms for curation and distribution of rewards could be seen as a viable solution. It could help to address issues of bias, discrimination, and favoritism that can arise in human-based systems, and it could allow for more equitable distribution of rewards across a wider range of users and content.

Ultimately, the decision of whether to prioritize human-generated content or to rely more heavily on AI-generated content and algorithms for curation and distribution of rewards will depend on the values and goals of the platform and its community, as well as the trade-offs and risks associated with each approach.

The AI can BS better than most people.

Ha ha! Sounds like some of the most highly voted posts on there!

Yeah @candy49...

Sometimes posts are translated using AI and it sounds like a machine. The sentences flow and the vocabulary is interesting, but it is really not human style. Curators will need to keep their eyes open, but I'm too tired for that.

Jesus it’s good these days lol always a bit soulless tho I can tell immediately what’s ai art and prob can ai chat too

Honestly, AI chat responses are difficult to digest. It's like I have to translate it into real English. The thing that will happen though is one day they will copy our style and actually sound real. The same is going on with the art. It's hard for me to draw pictures and make something, but they do it in seconds. The problem is there are still blotches here and there. I give a description of what I want, but the AI still looks like a homogenized painting. It's not really an original, but a mixture of ideas. On the other hand I like getting images produced so quickly. I think as long as people note that it is AI and give credit to the AI then it is fair game.
