I don't like that Ionomy doesn't have LTC pairs... It's easy to get LTC, but I don't like wasting my coins swapping from LTC to BTC or ETH...

Most exchanges don't have LTC pairs... especially smaller ones.

Some newer (2018-2020), including smaller, exchanges have both LTC and DOGE pairs in addition to BTC and ETH pairs...

This is mainly because adding ETH wallet requires more work than adding LTC wallet, due to using smart contracts. So LTC is actually added before ETH.

DOGE has gained popularity since summer 2020, so not all smaller exchanges have it yet as base currency.

I have only seen LTC as a pair on a couple exchanges ever, can you name a few?

TradeOgre and C-PatEx are the ones I mainly use...

LTC as a base currency was something that happened few months before DOGE was added as a base currency, so it's just matter of time that more exchanges will add it...

I'm not going to login to every exchange where I have registered an account just to see which ones have already added LTC and/or DOGE as a base currency...

The exchanges that are added to CoinGecko or CoinPaprika are easy to check even without logging in, as those two sites list almost all trading pairs except dead coins/tokens.

Never heard of either of those...

About two years ago when most altcoins were worth at least 40 sats, TradeOgre was the preferred exchange for new cryptocurrencies... Few months later, they paused adding new cryptocurrencies, then they added Ethereum wallet and resumed adding new altcoins... While I was using other exchanges, they added LTC as base currency and LTC pair for a lot of listed altcoins.

When listing by voting became popular, C-PatEx became more interesting than TradeOgre, because TradeOgre hasn't ever revealed their exact listing requirements, they just accept listing applications and stay silent until they list a coin.

As they collect some fees under the table... :)
