HIVE has been a falling knife for months, but today I stepped in front of it
Call me crazy, but I bought roughly 25k worth of HIVE today.
What's even more crazy, I bought it with BTC...
Yikes!
Keep in mind that I didn't dip into my long term BTC holdings for this purchase but considering where I think BTC is ultimately going, yea it's a risky play.
To me, $15k BTC and $.10 HIVE just seems like a good spot to pick up a couple HIVE...

Not a lot of BTC buys a lot of HIVE.
The way I look at it, it won't take much to get HIVE to a dollar, which is roughly 10x, while it will take a lot more heavy lifting to get BTC to $150k, which would also be a 10x.
The BTC to $150k may technically be "more likely" at this point in time, but there is also the possibility HIVE could go north of a dollar as well.

Now it's time for HIVE to round the corner and actually start making itself attractive to outside investors!
Stay informed my friends.

WOW, I'd say that you made the best of this opportunity. Aside from HIVE making to a dollar mark, you will also gain from curation.
But what if ...BTC reaches to $1M? :stuck_out_tongue:
Yea, that would be a major bummer. Though like I mentioned I didn't dip into my long term BTC holdings. This was part of BTC that I trade in and out of. But yes if HIVE keeps going down and btc keeps going up, it won't feel great.
If you keep buying every HIVE people are selling, it can go way beyond $1... If you power up most of it, you get so much post rewards that it's worth it pretty quickly.
I went from 3 HP to 150 HP pretty fast and still had 25 HIVE to cash out... I'm sure you have quite different magnitude...
Yea, but that would be a lot of HIVE... millions of Hive...
True... But I also bought company that was basically worth nothing and made it multi-national...
What is the correlation?
Correllation?
What is the correlation between me needing to buy millions of hive and you buying a company that was worth nothing? HIVE is wort $40 million...
My name was worth more than name of the previous main investor... If HIVE is worth $40 million now, what happens to its value if people see someone buying in bulk... HIVE is public blockchain, so your name will be all over everything...
Good point. Luckily Doc is a well known name.
I’m selling Hive to buy Blurt.
It seems you are not the only one selling it. I thin it's due for a bounce here at some point. Blocktrades is going to do his part to make sure it doesn't fail.
I wish I would have sold all my Hive at 98 cents like all the smart people.... Oh well.
The only people that sold it at $.98 were Justin Sun. He dumped double digit millions of HIVE when Binance opened and the price was right near a dollar, which is what toppled the price over down to about $.60 almost immediately. It's basically been down ever since.
I guess thats what propped up TRX... up 300 % from where I traded my Steem.
Yea he seems to support his projects. He still supports steem to some degree I think as well.
Definitely.
There are large bids on bittrex quite often.
Sadly, most of us were powered up at that time with hardly any liquid HIVE. Whatever little liquid HIVE I had, I used it up to buy LEO and I ain't repenting it :)
P.S.:
Are you trying to indicate that Justin Sun was the smartest kid? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Probably.
Crazy you.
You should have bought blurt instead
Ding😉😊
I don't see any dump in BLURT. It's better to buy what dumps harder.
Smart move. Easily 300 or 400% profits to come. Same with bitcoin, it would just take longer.
I sure hope so.
Good for you. HIVE is cheap right now with potential to rise. I know it struggled lately, but it's technically in a good place and has a good community. Hope your gamble pays off.
