I played a couple of nine-basket disc golf rounds with my friends this morning. We wanted to try out the new blue course that we will be playing in a tournament soon. It will be the first time the course has been used in a tournament so we are all pretty excited. It is going to take me some practice to get good at it, it is very heavily wooded with tight gaps and long holes.
I was struggling a bit because I forgot to pack my Deflector disc in my bag. It is kind of a mainstay in my forehand approach game and I felt lost in the woods without it. This got me thinking about getting another disc.
After we were done playing I went shopping for another Deflector disc as a backup. They didn't have any at the Pro Shop and it sounded like it would be weeks before they got any more in and none were on order. I decided to get a new Pyro disc instead. The flight numbers were very close to the Deflector's.
Pryro flight numbers: 5, 4, 0, 2.4 and Deflector numbers: 5, 3.5,0,4.
I figured that the Pyro might even be a bit more stable than my beat in _ Deflector_
My new Pyro disc:
I ended up playing another round of eighteen holes on the Red course and tested out the new disc. I ended up having a really good round at -1. The new disc flew wonderfully. It is slightly less stable and not quite as dumpy as my Deflector disc. So far I am liking it as well if not better than the Deflector. They are both great discs though.
The Pyro has some nice glitter sparkles on the edge and comes in Prism Proton plastic. It is a little more flashy looking and might be easier to see in the deep dark woods. I have been earning enough scrip from winning in the tournaments that it makes it a lot easier for me to buy new discs.
Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S22 Ultra. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher...

Hello, my friend
Can you please tell me what a Pyro is used for?
