I had to try out the replacement disc that I purchased recently for my lost Loft Bohrium disc, so I played a few practice rounds. I was just playing by myself and didn't bother with scoring anything.
The new disc is a lot more stable than the one I lost and is about five grams heavier. I had forgotten how much I don't like throwing for max distance with this heavy a disc. Hopefully, I will get more used to it but for now, it is not getting very good distance for me.
It is also not the most consistent disc in the bag so I'm not sure where I will go with it. It might make a good forehand disc for me at this weight.
The problem I have with a backhand throw and heavy discs is that a lot of the time they come out of my hand early when I try to throw them hard. The rounded rim of the Bohrium makes it even harder to get a good grip. It also seems physically more demanding to get these heavy discs up to speed for me. I think I can work through these issues and learn to modify my grip and the way I throw.
Sometimes discs get less stable as you break them in a bit more so I need to see how things work out.
Some birds that I saw on the walk this morning:

It seems like your golfing area is very natural, so there are still many birds flying there
