My friend and I played disc golf at the eighteen hole NSRA disc golf course. I scored at +11 and my friend scored a +20. I felt like it was a reasonably good round for me. My best score on the course was a +10 and I keep trying to score better than that but it has been very difficult for me.
I had a couple of bad throws that would have helped my score out but it is hard to play consistently the entire round. I missed a short layup putt sending it down a hill and nearly out of bounds. I also threw a drive out of bounds trying to safely place it in the fairway. It is a difficult hole for me but usually I can make a safe pitch out onto the fairway.
Still I felt pretty good about the round and it feels like I'm making good choices about what discs to throw.
My friend lost a disc on hole thirteen. He landed in some tall grass and we looked and looked but could not find it. He was feeling bad about losing one of his favorite discs and was wishing that he had thrown one he did not care about on the hole. It is really tough to lose a disc you like and I was feeling his pain. I nearly lost a disc on the same hole before but luckily someone found it later that day and got it back to me. Hopefully me friend will get his back too.
After losing the disc my friend was not playing as well and struggled more towards the end of the round.
An interesting plant that I saw out on the disc golf course today:
This plant holds water next to its stem with its leaves.
