Dzisiaj Bombel pierwszy raz zobaczył morze. W sierpniu to nawet stópki zamoczył, ale wtedy jako 2,5-miesięczny bobas nie ogarniał jeszcze tej kuwety. A podczas tego pobytu dotychczas na każdym spacerze sobie smacznie spał, więc nie był świadomy tej atrakcji aż do teraz. I powiem tak - było wielkie wow, do tego stopnia, że nawet selfika nie udało nam się zrobić - pal licho telefon, główka ciągle w stronę morza!

Today our Baby saw the sea for the first time. In August he even had his feet put into the waters, but then, as a 2.5-month-old baby, he had not yet got slightest idea what was going on. And during this stay, he has slept soundly on every walk, so he was not aware of this attraction until now. And it was amazing to him, to such an extent that we did not even manage to do a selfie - he didn't mind the phone, all head towards the sea!

I will share these few photos from the walk, because firstly I love this place, and secondly, another place of frustration for Poles is worth noting.

Arka - Eleven!

Tatuś dzisiaj pognał do roboty, a więc poszliśmy sobie z Bomblem na samotny spacer do Arki. Byliśmy tam w niedzielę we trójkę, ale kolejka była taka, że zrezygnowaliśmy. Dzisiaj, przed 10, przez krótki moment byliśmy sami, ale zaraz weszły tłumy ludzi i znowu pojawiła się kolejka przed drzwiami. Tak więc, gdybyśmy wyszli z sanatorium kwadrans później, pewnie zaś musielibyśmy odpuścić.

Daddy rushed to work today, so the Baby and I went for a lonely walk to the Arka Hotel. The three of us were there on Sunday, but the line was such that we gave up. Today, before 10am, we were alone for a short while, but soon crowds of people came in and there was again queue in front of the door. So, if we left the sanatorium a quarter of an hour later, we would probably have to let it go again.

Hotel Arka z dołu wygląda niepozornie, jak zresztą większość tego typu hoteli. Słynie natomiast z tego, że na jedenastym (!) piętrze mieści się obrotowa kawiarnia z fajnym widokiem.

From the street, the Arka Hotel looks inconspicuous, like most hotels of this type. However, it is famous for the fact that on the eleventh (!) floor there is a rotating cafe with a nice view.

Jeśli nie wiecie, czemu jedenaste piętro mnie bawi, to poniżej wytłumaczenie.

If you don't know why I'm having fun about the eleventh floor, here's an explanation.

Wracając do Cafe Eleven - bo tak brzmi jej nazwa - w sumie jest to nic specjalnego. Owszem, podłoga pod stolikami kręci się, dzięki czemu każdy stolik przez pewien czas znajduje się pod oknem, z widokiem. Sam widok to jednak przede wszystkim hoteliska obok, a w odbiorze całości przeszkadzają też betonowe elementy konstrukcyjne. Wystrój wnętrza kawiarni też troszkę już trąci myszką.

Coming back to Cafe Eleven - because that's its name - it is nothing special. Yes, the floor under the tables moves around, thanks to which each table is located under the window for some time, with a view. The view itself, however, is primarily the hotels next door, and the perception of the whole is also hindered by concrete structural elements. The interior of the cafe is also a bit old-fashioned.

Galaretka z owocami i bitą śmietaną nie porwała - stanowczo lepsza była wczorajsza w Kaprysie. Herbata owocowa w porządku. Bombel z rozkoszą wyjadł mi ananasa z herbaty.

The jelly with fruit and whipped cream was not so special - yesterday one at Kaprys cafe was definitely better. Fruit tea okay. The Baby ate my pineapple with delight.

Restauracja Skandynawska w Ustroniu Morskim / Scandinavian Restaurant in Ustronie Morskie

Dużo lepsze wrażenie zrobiła na mnie Restauracja Skandynawska w Ustroniu Morskim, gdzie wpadliśmy pod wieczór na rybkę. Zupa rybna i dorsz w sakiewce były przepyszne, ale sam wystrój i kameralny charakter restauracji sprawił, że jest to miejsce, do którego chce się wrócić.

The Scandinavian Restaurant in Ustronie Morskie, where we drived for some fish in the evening, made a much better impression on me. The fish soup and cod in a pouch were delicious, but the decor and the intimate nature of the restaurant was what made it a place you want to come back to.
