Hi everyone and hope your good, well I want to talk about how I combined school and work when I was a student, So as a Student it wasn't easy combining both school and work,
Student level
I was a biology education student of Michael okpara university of agriculture, actually I was a part-time student and as a part-time student we normally go to school from Thursday to Sunday,Thursdays and Friday are afternoon to evening time on Saturday is always morning till evening then Sundays are afternoon to evening,100level was a little but stressful as we had a lot of registration to do and we were trying to understand the university settings and how things are done around the school cause compared to secondary school where we came out from it was a bit different its like upgrading from one level to a higher level. So when I got to 200level I've learnt a little about school so like I said our lectures starts from Thursday to Sunday so as it is from Monday to Thursday I don't really have anything much doing so I decided to make the best out of my life. So first I went into catering, I registered in a catering school which runs from Monday to Friday so with that I became occupied with activity so I combined both my catering school and my normal school but I explained to them that I was a student and most times I would not be around if I had important things to do in school we had a mutual agreement.I learnt the work for like a year and it I really worked for me because before I was done with learning I've already started getting small jobs that was helping me financial, after I was done with my catering school, I decided to also Learn another skill this time around I went into hair styling or would I say hair dressing and catering works hand in hand, this time around I looked for a place closer to school because when I was going for my catering school transport fare was a big problem because my catering school was far from where I was staying,so most times I don't have transport fare I don't go,so this time around I met a lady just opposite the school and she was good with what she's doing, so the first day I went to met her she welcomed me and I told her I was a student but was interested to learn from her because of that she reduced the money which I was to pay to a lesser one, other workers welcomed me too,I signed up to stay there for two years and I stay there till my 400l I learnt a lot from her after I was done with my two years of agreement I stay there till my final year cause my course was a five years course, my madam or would I say my school mother was so nice to me that she treated me like her daughter. So this was how I combined going to school and work I didn't spare out any time cause time is money because if I had stay idle for that five years it would have a waste of time and time wasted can't be regained back.
