Little Johnny woke up crying in the middle of the night that woke up his mom and dad. His mom came rushing to the rescue and went to Little Johnny's side.
"What's wrong honey? What happened? Did you have a bad dream? Hush sweetie, don't you cry, Mommy's here, Mommy's here."
"But..." he tried to speak up while he was sobbing.
"But they were throwing big stones at us."
"Oh honey, no one is going to throw stones at us. It's just a bad dream. Hush now, go back to sleep. We'll play tomorrow."
"But the rocks were on fire." he continued to cry.
"See honey, rocks don't burn. Your dream don't make sense. Come here, let's have something to drink."
They both got up and went to the source of water and Little Johnny took little sips of water and they both waited for him to calm down. When he finally settled down, they went back and tried to sleep. Little Johnny, though a bit reluctant, managed to grab his sleep and he woke up refreshed and all jolly in the morning.
"Good morning honey. Are you doing okay?" his momma asked him.
"Thank you, I'm doing fine now."
"Alright, I told it's just a dream. Now eat your greens."
"Ugh, is this another bad dream? Where's the meat? Where's the fish?"
His mom and dad laughed at his snark remark for their breakfast and they went on peacefully with it.
"Mom, I'm gonna play with Sera."
"Okay honey, don't go far okay. Don't go beyond the river."
With loud strides of joy, Little Johnny hurriedly went to Sera who was just living next door.
"Sera!!! Sera!! Let's play!"
"Heeeeeey! Johnny! Wait there, I'll tell pops first." she excitedly say and went to where her father was.
"Dad, can I play with Little Johnny? Pretty please????" she said with a soft and sweet voice.
"It's fine. Be back for lunch. Don't go beyond the hills."
"Yeeeeeees pops!" And Sera went outside running and the two of them raced each other towards the riverside.
They were joined by the other kids in the neighborhood and they all heartily played. They were laughing, running around and sprinkling water with each other.
They were playing to their hearts' content and without even a care in the world. The carefree nature of the kids are evident in their eyes. It was then when all of a sudden, the sky grew darker and for some reasons it was warmer in the surroundings.
The parents of the kids went running towards were they were playing and calling upon them to come home. Little Johnny and Sera ran to their parents when they saw and heard them frantically calling upon their names.
"Mom." Little Johnny looked up at his mother harboring a worried and weary look upon her face.
"What is happening mom? Why does the sky look so red?"
His mother could not begin and did not know what to say. She has no idea whatsoever on what was happening.
As they reached a huge boulder just before their home, a huge impact shook the grounds and made them lose their balance. His mother held upon the boulder with all her might as she pulled Little Johnny closer to her than ever.
Little Johnny was scared and was shocked that he was sent out crying by the impact. He was wailing along the chaotic sound that was dominating around them. The first crash was followed by another, and then another and it was like raining molten rocks and boulders. The sky and the grounds are all now in flames.
She wanted to wear a brave face in front of her son to ease the worry and concern he was feeling. As she was smiling she said to him, "Honey, let's play hidden okay? Close your eyes and imagine that we disappear and no one sees us alright?"
Little Johnny nodded at her and closed his eyes. Her mother came even more closer and held him tight.
And the the barrage of the huge blazing rocks continued to wipe everything in sight and everything there is. It continued for several days until not a single dinosaur was standing.
Hey you!!!
What's up? How have you been? I am still in that no writing mood so yeah, I am just relaying to you some heart breaking moments I imagined took place when the last days of the dinosaurs took place.
It was tragic, it was the end of the world for them, and will it ever come upon us in the same way or in any other way? What would you do if you know that it was the last hours of your life and the world in general?
Cheers
