Lionel Messi will be part of the Argentina squad as they face Italy in the 2022 Finalissima on June 1.
The Finalissima ('the Grand Final') is a Super Cup clash between the latest Euro champions and the Copa America holders. It will be just the third edition of the competition since 1993....
It is an official match, so Messi could actually win his 40th career trophy already next week. Achieving this feat would mean he is one cup behind the most decorated player in the history of football, Dani Alves.
The match will be held at Wembley Stadium in London at 20:45 CET.
