Seville stuck to its hopes of competing for the Spanish League title, by defeating its guest and arch-rival Real Betis, on Sunday, in the twenty-sixth stage of the competition, which also witnessed a great victory for Villarreal 5/1 over its guest Espanyol.
Seville's balance rose to 54 points, in second place, 6 points behind Real Madrid (the leaders), while Real Betis stopped at 46 points, in third place.
Veteran Croatian Ivan Rakitic opened the scoring in the 24th minute from a penalty kick, before Moroccan star Mounir El Haddadi added the second goal for Seville in the 41st minute.
Sergio Canales scored the honorable goal for Betis, in the 93rd minute.
With this victory, Sevilla avenged its loss with the same result against Betis, in the round of 16 of the King's Cup, last January, while it continued its superiority over its opponent for the third match in a row in La Liga.
Former Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath has questioned the capabilities of German Marco Reus, captain of Borussia Dortmund, stressing that what he offers on the field is not worthy of a great player.
The veteran German coach spoke on Sky Sports about the current situation in Dortmund, as well as the level of some prominent players, such as defender Mats Hummels.
Magath believes that Hummels is still able to appear better, if the team's way of playing is changed, while he was surprised by Royce's level.
According to the British newspaper, "Daily Star", Atletico Madrid settled on contracting Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, Chelsea goalkeeper, next summer.
She added that Atletico is seeking to take advantage of Kepa's situation at Chelsea, where he sits as a substitute for Senegalese Edward Mendy, although he presents distinguished levels in the matches in which he participates.
The newspaper pointed out that Chelsea did not mind the departure of Kepa, in light of the lack of reliance on him mainly, despite contracting him for 80 million euros, after breaking his penalty clause with Athletic Bilbao.
