Ahhhh...
what better way to cap off a day exploring the rugged Arizona backcountry than a few mesquite fire-roasted sirloins hot off the grill.
I gathered a bucket of dry mesquite branches on my trip and tossed them in an old steel planter and lit it up to a blazing hot and soon the steaks were sizzling and getting a great char.
From the grill to the table with just a few minutes to rest while my dog Lulu licked her lips hoping for a few bites.
Just right...
nice medium pink with a slathering of blue cheese butter to add a bit more decadence to the meal.
The grilled taste was fantastic - can't wait to try a few chicken thighs slathered in BBQ glaze grilled next time (I'm sure Lulu feels the same way).
