Hello and good day everyone!Hoping you all that you have a wonderful day!
Yesterday I cooked Bam-i for our first gathering or our first Christmas party of our Old Town Blurt Blog Community.
Bam-i is traditionally serve in any special occasion like fiesta, parties, and family gathering in Filipino culture, we believe that serving this food symbolize long life.
For my Bam-i I used pork for the ingredients, for another options you can used breast chicken, shrimp and chicken liver for the ingredients.
This are the ingredients of Bam-i :
🔸1/4 sotanghon
🔸3/4 pansit Canton
🔸1/2 pork
🔸Onion
🔸Garlic
🔸Spring onion
🔸slice Carrots
🔸Slice cabbage
🔸Soy sauce
🔸Seasoning for taste
How to cooked :
So first I prepared all the ingredients and after heat the pan, put 3 table spoon of oil.
Put the pork first and make it little brown and after that set a side the pork.
Sauté the onion and garlic, then put the pork and add oyster sauce and soy sauce then mix to combine.
Mix to stir and cooked for 5 munites and after that put 5 cups of water then wait to boil.
Once it started to boil, add the slice carrots and cover with the lid to continue simmering for 2 munites
Sorry I forgot to take a picture.
Once carrots is soft put the pansit Canton and the sotanghon and mix gently.
Put some seasoning to taste.
Lastly add the cabbage and mix gently.
When it was done cooked transfer into a bowl and put the spring onion on the top.
You can serve it on a plate with calamansi.
That's all for now, thank you and please follow to my next post.
