After now two full years in Thailand....I think I'm about ready to drop forty bucks on a ten dollar bottle! hahaha
Dry red wines have always been my favorite, so I haven't had that problem you describe. But at least they know how to do great mango and sticky rice! lol
But need to chew the rice for a long time to ferment it in-mouth!
I also like dry white wines, esp with fish, and some of those travel really badly. Orvieto, Frascati, Pinot Grigio, Chablis... havent had a decent bottle of any of them in years!
Most chardonnay seems to give me a mild headache so avoid the grape.
Hahahaha. That made both @junglegirl (sitting next to me) and myself laugh out loud. I miss my Pinot Gricio too! That's my go-to white wine too. Maybe we're the wrong country, I miss Argentina, that is one hell of a place to eat and drink like a king for peanuts.
Yes, Argentina and Chile were on my list - once upon a time!
