We celebrated our brgy. fiesta in honor of St. Francis of Assisi last October 4.
The St. Francis of Assisi fiesta celebration is a vibrant and spiritual event that commemorates the life and teachings of the patron saint of animals and the environment. Held annually on October 4th, this joyous occasion brings together communities, both Catholic and non-Catholic, in a spirit of unity and reverence. The festivities typically include a solemn mass, during which pets and animals are often blessed in recognition of St. Francis' love for all living creatures. Additionally, colorful processions, music, and dance performances fill the streets, creating an atmosphere of celebration and devotion. It is a time when people come together to reflect on the saint's dedication to simplicity, humility, and care for the natural world, inspiring many to follow in his footsteps. The St. Francis of Assisi Fiesta celebration not only honors a beloved saint but also serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and stewardship for our planet.
Our visitors were my co-workers, there were also classmates of my son and most of all my beloved family especially my father who cooked the tasty foods we prepared.
We had fun with songs and some liquor shots.
